Coaching Assignment: Assigned based on campus needs and applicant experience

Job Summary:
Three Way ISD is seeking a dynamic and motivated educator to teach high school history and serve in a coaching role. We are a small 1A school with a strong sense of pride, family, and tradition. Our ideal candidate will inspire students to think critically about the past and its impact on today while also bringing energy, leadership, and a strong work ethic to our athletic program.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the classroom and on the field/court, with the added benefit of a four-day school week.
Responsibilities (Academic):
Plan and deliver engaging, TEKS-aligned instruction in high school social studies courses (U.S. History, World History, Government, Economics, etc.).
Promote historical thinking, civic responsibility, and real-world connections through interactive lessons.
Use data to guide instruction and provide targeted interventions and enrichment.
Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support academic and personal growth.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance.
Collaborate with campus staff to ensure student success and alignment with district goals.
Participate in professional development to continue growing as an educator.
Responsibilities (Coaching):
Serve as a coach in one or more sports (specific assignments to be determined based on experience and district needs).
Develop athletes through structured practice plans, skill development, and positive leadership.
Foster teamwork, discipline, and character both on and off the field.
Attend all scheduled games, practices, and athletic events as required.
Ensure compliance with UIL rules and district policies.
Support athletic program growth and community involvement.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas teaching certificate in Social Studies 7-12 or 8-12
CDL or willingness to obtain CDL (required for coaching position)
Coaching experience preferred
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Ability to build strong relationships and positively influence student-athletes
Commitment to academic and athletic excellence
