Job Summary:
Three Way ISD, a small but thriving 1A school district with a strong sense of community and tradition, is seeking a passionate and energetic Agricultural Science Teacher & FFA Advisor. This position includes an 11-month contract and a stipend to support the full scope of responsibilities, including classroom instruction, FFA leadership, CDEs (Career Development Events), LDEs (Leadership Development Events), and livestock/stock show supervision.
We're looking for a leader who is ready to continue building a competitive, hands-on program that inspires students and supports their success in and out of the classroom.
Primary Responsibilities:

Teach high school Agricultural Science and CTE courses aligned with TEKS and certification

Plan, coordinate, and lead FFA chapter activities, including LDE, CDE, and stock show participation

Supervise and assist students with SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) projects, including livestock and plant projects

Coordinate travel and student participation in local, district, area, and state FFA competitions and stock shows

Maintain and manage Ag facilities, shop tools/equipment, and school livestock areas

Build strong community relationships to support program success, including partnerships with local ag businesses

Stay current on FFA guidelines and TEA requirements, and participate in professional development

Promote student leadership, responsibility, and career-readiness

Work collaboratively with staff, administration, and parents to support overall student growth and success
Qualifications:

Valid Texas teaching certification in Agricultural Science (or eligible)

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or related field

CDL or willingness to obtain (required for travel to events/stock shows)

Strong knowledge of FFA contests, animal science, plant science, and ag mechanics

Experience in managing stock show entries, supervising student projects, and preparing for CDE/LDE events preferred

Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
