Job Summary
The Software Product Manager is responsible for leading the development lifecycle of our Operating systems, ensuring projects are aligned with business needs, delivered on time, and optimized for efficiency. This role acts as a liaison between stakeholders and developers, managing requirements, project timeliness, and system documentation. Our primary Operating System is Filemaker.
Responsibilities
- Lead, Manage, and Hold the Software Team Accountable (LMA)
- Oversee the development team, ensuring projects meet business requirements.
- Provide direction and prioritization, keeping stakeholders and developers aligned.
- Establish key performance metrics (KPIs) for project success and system optimization.
- Operating System Development Lifecycle Management
- Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment.
- Oversee system enhancements, bug fixes, and new feature rollouts.
- Ensure systems remain optimized, scalable, and aligned with business operations.
- Project Management & Alignment
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, timelines, and priorities.
- Ensure agile best practices are followed for efficient execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align Development projects with company goals.
- Internal Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between business teams and developers.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Facilitate regular project updates and feedback loops.
- Training & Rollout
- Lead training sessions for employees and stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth adoption of new features and updates.
- Create support materials, guides, and FAQs to assist end-user
- Knowledge Base & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for Development workflows, processes, and updates.
- Ensure system knowledge is accessible and up to date for internal teams.
- Develop best practices for troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Operating system performance (uptime, speed, and functionality).
- Project completion rates, ensuring timely delivery of software updates.
- Stakeholder satisfaction, based on user feedback and adoption rates.
- Efficiency of software processes, including reduced bug reports and increased automation.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, software development, and/or IT project management.
- Strong understanding of operating system development and database administration.
- Proven experience in project management and agile methodologies.
- Excellent ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong people, communication and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in printing, manufacturing, or enterprise IT environments.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and process improvement.
- Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools.
- Education
- High School Diploma or GED
