About the Role:
Threemile is seeking a Finance Accountant to perform a wide variety of regular and recurring moderately complex accounting functions requiring full professional competency. This person will maintain one or a combination of general accounting, budget, or cost systems and assist in interpreting accounts and records for managers. This role will report to an assistant controller and will have exposure to all aspects of the business with career advancement opportunities. Responsibilities:
- Prepare general ledger, chart of accounts and financial statements.
- Assist with annual audit and budget reporting.
- Manage reporting on capital improvements, property taxes, land leases and fixed assets.
- Assist with general finance related activities.
- Perform general ledger transactions, analyzing, understanding and reconciling balance sheet accounts in conjunction with period end procedures.
- Work directly with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Scale, Shop, and Crop reporting as necessary.
- Maintain professional relationship with customers and vendors.
- Work directly with managers in all aspects of financial reporting.
- Ad hoc projects as directed by the assistant controller.
Qualifications:
- Solid Knowledge of Accounting – You love when debits and credits balance.
- Analytical Mindset – You are detail-oriented, organized and have strong financial and analytical capabilities.
- Builder’s Mentality – You will enter the company during a period growth. Everyone at the company is expected to lead and make a meaningful impact.
- Interpersonal Skills – Excellent internal/external communication skills are required, as this person will be collaborating with colleagues across multiple functions and interacting with customers and vendors on a regular basis.
- Adaptability – You are energized and excited by working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage the priorities of the role as changes occur.
What we require from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 3 – 5 years progressive experience in accounting.
- Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software or a relevant accounting software is preferred.
