Full-Time Direct Hire Opportunity

Location : Irving, TX

Job Details :

Minimum of 5 years experience in structural steel industry
Understanding of means and methos of steel fabrication
Experience within the construction industry
Experience reviewing contract drawings and specifications
Computer skills including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
Education : Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent preferred

Job Description :

This positions is office based and will report to the Chief Estimator.

Involves executing computer aided and hand take off estimates of structural steel components

An understanding of labor standard components

Provide supporting documentation for preparation of the complete estimate

Required to preform take offs of all structural steel components and detail requirements

Review vendor and sub-tier quotes to ensure compliance with contract documents

Will produce estimate summaries that will identify basic and special requirements based on the scope of work including buy out items

Assist with training beginner estimators
