Production Assistant - Temp to Perm

USA Insulation, a leader with over $100 million in revenue, is looking for a Production Assistant who will be responsible for safely producing chemical products that meet quality specifications in a timely and efficient manner. You will learn how to mix and blend liquid components, Resin and Foaming Agent Concentrate (FAC), to produce our proprietary foam insulation.  You will support all facets of running a manufacturing facility, including but not limited to, shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods, inventory counting, participation in the safety program, housekeeping of the facility both inside and outside.  You will ensure that sufficient materials are available for production according to our manufacturing schedule and you will assist in maintaining production equipment. 

This is a temporary role with the potential of going permanent.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assists in meeting production schedule goals by completing assignments as delegated
• Overall responsibility for delivering raw materials to the manufacturing process.  This will include pre-weighting materials according to batch guidelines. 
• Follows all quality policies, operating instructions, and production procedures to ensure quality product is produced
• Monitors batch while in process to closely observe the quality of output
• Responsible for meeting standard batch ticket cycle times while maintaining safety and quality.
• Takes appropriate action, including shutdown of process, to prevent safety or quality issues.
• Properly communicates to supervisor when it appears that a goal or deadline will not be met. 
• Responsible for inventory of raw materials and finished goods as well as pallets, drums, jugs and boxes, and other necessary equipment and supplies.
• Strives for continuous improvement by interacting with department members to share innovative ideas for improvements in safety, quality and efficiency.

In addition to the responsibilities above, this role will provide support in all aspects of plant/facility and building maintenance as well as warehouse support such as:

• Equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance
• Cleaning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Cleaning and maintenance of plant/facility, both inside and outside
• Maintenance of the foam manufacturing parts
• Fulfilling all outgoing finished goods orders
• Unloading drum truck
• Receiving raw materials and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical manufacturing experience in a chemical facility preferred
• The ability to drive a Tow Motor is a must

Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time and can lift, push and pull up to 55 pounds frequently
