EXMAPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Use excellent customer relations. Lead and motivate clients throughout training sessions; Build and maintain a highly engaged member base; Connect and reconnect with clients to encourage continued class attendance and support students’ growth; Promote Threshold memberships and services. Educate students on correct technique while providing modifications for posture during their fitness session and as appropriate for their success and capacity, this includes modifying specific exercises to accommodate the various skill levels in the gym; Maintain the cleanliness of the gym: before, after, and in-between classes, including organization and storage of props, mats and other implements (including ropes, weights, and/or sandbags.); Employee will also work as receptionist while not serving as an assistant instructor answering phones and emails; Employee will assist with camps and team member practices; Perform any other duties as directed by management
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Current CPR/AED certification required (or a willingness to acquire such certification prior to teaching at Threshold); Excellent oral communication skills; Professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills; Ability to lead students in physical activity; Proficiency in computer applications.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
Work Environment: Indoor climate controlled environment.
