Digital Media and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist
Digital marketing agency seeking a full-time Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Marketing Specialist to support some of the most exciting brands in Washington, DC and across the US! We offer fully remote work with a flexible schedule but preference will go to applicants in DC, MD, or VA.
You’re a self-starter who appreciates the value of learning new skills and keeping up with the latest trends in SEO and PPC. You not only know a number of SEO tools, but you also value learning new tools and skills. You’ve got an education in marketing or a background in writing and a strong drive to develop your SEO knowledge.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage strategic SEO/SEM campaigns to secure more website traffic, increased conversions and rank higher in SERPs through active monitoring and recommendations
- Work directly with clients to define and build SEO/SEM strategy based on their business objectives
- Collaborate with our website development team to ensure proper implementation of SEO best practices
- Implement and monitor technical SEO and perform regular audits to ensure best practices are being adhered to
- Engage with keyword research, analyze website architecture, provide recommendations for content optimization and content creation, engage with Google Business, and assess link-building opportunities
- Contribute to content marketing plans, identifying opportunities to create and promote digital content that can improve search engine traffic and quality rankings
- This role is equally client-facing as it is “behind the scenes”
Requirements:
- 3 years of SEM/SEO experience (we will consider the right applicant with less experience)
- A strong passion for search engine optimization
- Experience with web analytics tools with the ability to translate web metrics for the layman or laywoman
- Technical SEO background with experience configuring campaign tracking and reporting
- Knowledge of Schema and best practices for a variety of websites
- Knowledge of factors that influence search engine rankings and how to optimize existing and new websites to improve rankings
- Skilled, professional communicator, both in-person and in writing
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Local to Washington, DC metro area
