Website Developer
Digital marketing agency seeking a full-time Website Developer to support some of the most exciting brands in Washington, DC and across the US! We offer fully remote work with a flexible schedule, but preference will go to applicants in DC, MD, or VA. You’re a self-starter who appreciates the value of learning new skills and keeping up with the latest trends. This role combines skills in website development, solutions architecture, and technical project management.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and installing custom website solutions using various Content Management Systems, primarily WordPress
- Create lead generation websites using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP in a WordPress environment
- Determines operational feasibility of software modifications by analyzing problems and user requirements
- Investigate problems submitted by users
- Follow the software development lifecycle
- Work with clients to create and manage Business and Technical Requirement Documents, as well as other scope documents
- Perform research on competitors and industry trends, and keep up to date with best practices, development tools and industry research
- Contribute to content marketing plans, identifying opportunities to create and promote digital content that can improve search engine traffic and quality rankings

- Collaborating with creatives including designers, photographers and other animators.
- This role is equally client-facing as it is “behind the scenes”

Requirements:
- 3 years of front-end website development experience on sites on WordPress
- 3 years of experience in CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, WordPress (including ACF, custom post types and taxonomies)
- Experience managing WordPress hosting environments like Kinsta or WPEngine
- Experience developing fully-responsive “mobile first” websites
- Familiarity with SQL / MySQL
- Experience with GitHub or BitBucket
- Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred
- Skilled, professional communicator, both in-person and in writing
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Local to Washington, DC metro area

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
