Maintenance Worker Level 2

Are you a dependable rock star who doesn't cut corners? We are currently looking for a Facility Maintenance Worker to join our team. Threshold Residential Services is a non-profit agency that provides quality care to developmentally disabled adults in Columbiana County, Ohio.

Essential functions, duties & responsibilities:

· Assists the Facilities Management Director with the completion of repairs and improvements of all buildings, structures, and equipment.

· Examples of duties include, but are not limited to: Repairing or replacement of broken windows; repairing/replacing doors, door locks, and closets; installation of window blinds flooring, plumbing, trim, electrical work, and framing.

· Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.

· Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, living room, bedroom, dining rooms; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures as well as other jobs and duties as required. We do not do the same thing every day.

· Monitors for Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs) and Usual Incidents (UIs) and takes immediate action to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the individuals being supported. Reports all MUIs/UIs properly as required by TRS Policy.

· Assists with the Facilities Department transportation logs, inventories, work order completion reports, and other communication systems according to agency requirements.

· Follows agency protocols regarding confidentiality of information related to individuals served, coworkers, and agency business.

· Acts as a role model for individuals served and demonstrates a positive image of the agency and individuals served to ensure community inclusion and engagement.

Occasional travel to include staying out of town. Per Diem and lodging will be provided. We will provide all necessary tools for the job.

8 hour shift may occasionally vary.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Prescreen includes a background check and drug screen. To be considered assessments must be completed. While previous experience and a certain level of functional knowledge is a job requirement, comprehensive knowledge is not required in all fields and training will be provided to help improve on weak areas.

Qualifications and specific job requirements:

· Two years’ experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades required. A high school diploma or G.E.D is preferred.

· Electrical Knowledge Requirements - Demonstrate familiarity with common electrical components, materials, and nomenclature. Demonstrate basic knowledge of positive/negative/ground. Demonstrate ability to replace standard 15A-20A outlets, single pole switches, GFCI outlets, and lights.

· Plumbing Knowledge Requirements - Demonstrate familiarity with common plumbing components, materials, and nomenclature. Demonstrate ability to measure, cut, and properly assemble basic PVC and PEX assemblies. Demonstrate ability to replace faucets and vanity/kitchen sink drains and p-trap assemblies.
