SALES FLOOR SUPERVISOR
The Sales Floor Supervisor is a support member for our cashier sales associates, customers and donors along with assisting the ASM. This role is customer-focused places importance on exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and optimal sales performance while maintain a clean, safe and organized store at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively listening to customer’s questions and concerns to resolve quickly while exceeding expectations
- Prioritize tasks, assist and manage time and direction of sales floor staff to meet company goals and objectives
- Assist with training and development of sales floor staff to include customer service, use of register, stocking merchandise, cleaning departments, etc.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment, foster teamwork and collaboration
- Oversee daily operation of the sales floor ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demands
- Monitor and assist cashiers performance to enhance skills and productivity
- Leads the execution of replenishment/removal of stock on sales floor to ensure it’s well-stocked, organized and visually appealing
- Perform POS functions, balance register tills, preparing statistical and financial reports
- Perform opening / closing procedures
- Cross train in all areas
- Collaborate with production team and ASM to meet daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
- Work independently and professionally, be effective and efficient in all tasks, pay close attention to detail
- Assist in training and guiding new team members as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and security procedures, address potential hazards
- Report and log repair and maintenance issues throughout the store
- Manage general housekeeping, custodial duties, adhere and enforce all policies and procedures
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area, report any potential hazards at the store
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Perform additional and alternate roles at the request of supervisor
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proven track record for exceptional customer service and cash handling experience
- 6 months strong retail, leadership and managerial experience
- Friendly personality, trustworthy, dependable, responsible
- Strong work ethic, showing initiative, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent communication and math skills, strong organizational skills, Spanish is a plus
- Flexibility to work weekdays/nights, weekends, and holidays based on store’s operational needs, overtime may be required
- Physical stamina with frequent standing, bending, walking, ability to lift/push/pull 15-20 lbs
- High School Diploma or equivalent certificate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
