We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join ThriftBooks as a strategic collaborator, bridging the HR organization and our Baltimore Processing Center (PC). As the onsite HR partner, this individual will provide day-to-day HR support, champion employee engagement, and bring a broad spectrum of HR expertise to a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

What You'll Do
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage job postings, candidate screening, interview support & training, and facilitate job offers.
- Ensure a seamless onboarding experience, orienting new hires with company policies, culture, and tools necessary for their roles.
- With a comprehensive understanding of company benefits and labor laws, this position oversees benefits enrollment, addresses related queries, and ensures that the organization complies with local, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Address employee concerns and support conflict resolution.
- Champion engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and strengthen the bond between the organization and its employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Track performance evaluations and training, and implement HR policies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
- Identify talent needs and collaborate on succession planning.
- Support leadership development and growth opportunities aligned with business objectives.
- Align HR strategies with business goals and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
- By acting as a Trusted Advisor, recommend best practices, gather feedback, and ensure that HR's contributions are impactful and relevant.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SCP) credential or similar
- 5–8 years of experience in employee relations and recruiting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency required)
- Competitive compensation package - pay range for this position is $75-$85k to start
- Earn Paid Time Off at Accrual Rate of 15-days per year

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
