Job Summary: The Assistant Manager Production works with the Store Manager to lead the ThriftSmart team in receiving and processing donated goods with the goal of streamlined operations and maximized revenue potential. Efforts to manage an efficient, profitable production operation benefit ThriftSmart’s locally supported nonprofit partners.
NOTE:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in recruitment and hiring for open Production positions.
- Conduct orientation and train new hires in execution of daily tasks.
- Train volunteers in sorting, processing, and merchandising as necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews as assigned by the Store Manager.
- Execute administrative tasks related to the management of the Production department, such as scheduling, attendance reviews, and reporting.
- Maximize production output and measure production performance on a daily basis.
- Coordinate the pricing of merchandise.
- Act as an authority on pricing standards, as well as pricing exceptional items.
- Coordinate movement of merchandise onto floor.
- Oversee preparation of merchandise displays and presentations, exercising judgment and discretion in applying merchandising concepts and guidelines.
- Facilitate communication between managers and staff.
- Assist in solving issues that affect store service and efficiency.
- Coordinate store opening and store closing-related tasks, with an emphasis on store security and complying with standard operating procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Preferred Education: College 2 years or more
- Preferred Experience: 3 Years
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
