Position Overview:
Thrill Sports is looking for an ambitious, fun, bold and creative Social Media Coordinator to support Thrill Sports owned properties – Nitro Circus, Street League Skateboarding, and Power Slap – across priority social media channels.
This position offers a hands-on, interactive experience in a collaborative environment - it’s an opportunity to push the boundaries, be a creative problem-solver, and help shape the world-class, global brands that our fans love. Using highlights, archival and original content, custom graphics, and more, this role will be in charge of growing our social media presence across our brands.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for ideating, developing, and programming content across social media channels (incl. TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Maintaining an always-on content calendar for owned social media channels - executing key announcements, supporting important marketing campaigns, storytelling around events and athletes, and celebrating the world of action sports.
- Lead community management efforts, by engaging with fans, answering DMs/comments, and working with key influencers and partners.
- Analyzing social media performance, and overseeing regular social reporting, competitive analysis, and constant strategy adjustments to maximize growth, engagement, and monetization.
- Research and identify potential new social, influencer or digital partnerships to help evolve marketing campaigns.
- Develop, pitch and provide creative input during Marketing meetings and collaborate with members of the broader Marketing Team to support initiatives, manage needs, and create assets for social media.
Qualifications:
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience in social media programming or management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in action sports and/or on behalf of official brands, teams, leagues, or athletes is preferred.
- Strong visual eye in regards to social-specific content and how to package content (video, graphics, etc.) for social consumption
- Experience with at least some of the following creative systems (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Canva, CapCut, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Native editing tools within TikTok and Instagram)
- Detail-oriented, with no tolerance for mistakes and errors when it comes to brand social presence.
- Extremely familiar with native platform analytics tools, experience developing analytics reports, and highly-skilled at pulling learnings from key data points.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
- Passion for pop culture and knowledge of the latest social media trends (particularly on vertical platforms)
- Strong organizational and time management skills required
