Thrive ABA Therapy Services -
An early childhood program for children with special needs is looking for a classroom leader to run the day to day function of the classroom of 6-8 children. The classroom leader would be responsible for the creation, implementation and materials management while being supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to embed children's treatment plans into the schedule.
Curriculum Planning :
Develop age-appropriate activities that align with learning styles and developmental stages.
Classroom Setup :
Organize and arrange the classroom environment to facilitate learning and play.
Daily Routine :
Establish and maintain a daily schedule that includes a balance of activities, such as circle time, free play, structured learning, snack time, and outdoor play.
Circle Time :
Conduct morning and afternoon circle time activities, which may include greetings, songs, stories, and discussions about the day's plans.
Instruction and Facilitation :
Engage children in structured learning activities to promote cognitive development.
Use a variety of teaching methods, including storytelling, hands-on activities, and group exercises.
Free Play and Exploration : Encourage imaginative play and exploration to support creativity and social development.
Provide a range of materials and activities that stimulate curiosity and experimentation.
- Qualifications : ```
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Experience with children with Autism preferred
- Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts, and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom, including behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
