What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake coordinator position at Thrive ABA Therapy Services?
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Family Liaison / Intake Coordinator is responsible for assisting client families through the intake process and remaining in communication with them once services begin to ensure overall satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides families with information on ABA in general and Thrive in particular
Assesses whether potential clients are eligible for services based on diagnosis, behavioral needs and insurance
Calls insurance companies to verify details of plan and eligibility
Collects or helps families access Written Orders for ABA assessment / treatment
Guides families through the intake process and keeps them informed of when a team is ready to start services
Sends information to insurance to request authorization
Creates client accounts in CentralReach and walks families through using the system
Completes client profiles with authorization details, consents, and demographic information and upkeeps client files in google drive
Maintains client records including authorizations, Vineland assessments and other assessments
Continues to support families while they are clients and acts as the main point of contact for families for questions and concerns about their child’s services or technical guidance
Maintains waitlist for clients waiting for services
EXPECTED SCHEDULE
- Monday through Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm
- This position is fully in person, in office
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
Related experience in a related field of service delivery

Demonstrates leadership, decision making, and organizational skills
