Ground Operations Duty Supervisor

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Ground Operations Manager, the Ground Operations Duty Supervisor is responsible for providing “Best in Class” customer service atmosphere while establishing a safe, efficient, and clean operation. While on duty, this position is responsible for working in our facilities to help assist with any pre/post flight tasks. This may include but not subject to replenishing stock, cleaning of facilities, guiding aircraft, moving aircraft, etc. This position also requires working closely with our Appearance Department and assisting them when needed. Ground Operations Duty Supervisor must report to the Manager on duty to verify tasks have been completed up to quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for security and safety of company facilities, aircraft, vehicles, and customer assets while on duty.
• Ready all aircraft after arrival or before departure, by ensuring the aircraft is thoroughly prepared according to checklist and standard appearance requirements.
• Properly marshalling and towing aircraft in accordance with company policy.
• Providing customer service tasks to clients including drop off and pickup, vehicle cleaning, and personal requests for flights.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area and hangar including hangar floors and offices, golf carts, ground equipment and vehicles.
• Assist the Appearance Team to clean aircraft when needed.
• Replenish stock with aircraft snacks, drinks, and supplies per checklist.
• Assist with flight crew before and after flights as needed.
• Must be flexible to work any shift, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in all climate environment
• Other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform required duties. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger and required to reach with hands and arms, perform duties that requiring tooling or machinery, and utilizing hands and fingers to work in tight spaces. The person in this position needs to be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. There is a constant operation of a telephone and computer. The employee may also work in a variety of temperatures and climates. The employee may be lifting up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment

• The work environment will include a variety of climates as some duties will be performed in hangar space that is not temperature controlled.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be extremely loud.

Experience & Qualifications

The most successful candidate in the position will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria.

• 1 year of ground handling aircraft preferred, or pilot certificate.
• Basic understanding of FAR's regarding Part 91, 121, and 135 preferred.
• Aviation experience and knowledge preferred.
• Passion for customer service.
