What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Aide position at Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center?

This person should:
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Meet assistant teacher qualifications based on education and experience according to Minnesota DHS Licensing’s minimum requirements for child care teachers.
- Possess or successfully complete CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Pass the state required background check.
Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
· Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happens.
· Good communication, problem solving and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude.
· Must be reliable and flexible to adapt to changes in the program.
· Must be able to manage confidential information.
· Willing to accept supervision to improve work performance.
· Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
· Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
· Ability to speak, read and write English.
