Director of Worship Ministries

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Worship Ministries to support the spiritual growth and enhance the worship experience of Thrive Church. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for worship, ability to communicate effectively, and a heart to serve.

Responsibilities:

Worship

• Manage staffing of praise band, musicians and vocalists including special guests
• Working with Pastor and Music Coordinator select and schedule weekly music, special services, and events to coordinate with the message and selected scriptures.
• Provide lyrics and licensing information for Visual Team for display and live stream
• Provide suggestions for additional elements for services as applicable.
• Create a worship environment through prayer, scripture, and personal sharing.
• Maintain and develop relationships with worship team members to foster a culture of teamwork, shared prayer and devotion, and growth in their faith.
• Foster a culture of worship within the congregation by creating an environment that fosters and encourages worship.
• Pray dilgently for the service.
• Create a vision for worship space appearance and coordinate the decorating of the space.
• Coordinate volunteers such as Communion Servers and Decorators.
• Communicate appreciation to participants.
• Coordinate with Pastor and other church staff to ensure that all elements of worship align with the overall vision of the church.
• Ensure worship center is prepared for the needs of Sunday morning service.

Audiovisual and Lighting

• Manage staffing and training of volunteers for audio and visual, including YouTube streaming.
• Responsible for worship center equipment including purchase, installation, and maintenance.
• Responsible for maintaining and servicing lighting equipment.

Worship Budget

Manage yearly budget, for Worship and Music Ministry including:

paid musicians or vocalists

equipment repair, upgrades,and replacements

Licensing

Contact point for Pro-Presenter software used for screen projection.

Contact point and manage CCLI licensing, music, video and live streaming services.

Qualifications

• Thrive Church is grounded in Biblical principles and dedicated to ongoing spiritual growth. Our staff: actively engages in scripture reading and prayer; nurture their own spiritual health while fostering spiritual growth in those they interact with; is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ both within our local community and beyond; attends weekly worship services, staff meetings, worship rehearsal; attend monthly leadership meeting.
• Baptized and committed follower of Jesus Christ who is able to verbally witness to their personal faith.
• Servant heart and willingness to coordinate with others
• Previous experience coordinating Worship and collaborating with church leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• A self-starter with the ability to be proactive and work independently.
• Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
