Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, and a genuine love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging students to express themselves through dance. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in the artistic development of our students while promoting physical fitness and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the needs and skill levels of students.
- Teach various dance styles, while ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Organize and participate in dance recitals, showcases, competitions, and other performance opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting is essential
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively teach young dancers.
- Proficiency in lesson planning that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities.
- A passion for dance and the ability to inspire students through creative teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
