The Salesforce Developer will work cross functionally with marketing, admissions and student support teams to design, implement, and optimize Salesforce solutions that enhance lead generation, customer management, and sales reporting. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of custom features, automation processes, and integrations to drive efficiencies and improve visibility across the sales funnel. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about using Salesforce to deliver impactful business results while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Essential Functions  

Salesforce Customization & Development:

  • Customize Salesforce to meet the evolving needs of the Sales and Marketing teams, including building custom objects, fields, workflows, and automation rules.
  • Develop and maintain Lightning components, Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages to enhance user experience and functionality.

System Integrations:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Salesforce with other internal systems (e.g., marketing automation platforms, customer success tools) and external data sources.
  • Build and manage data integrations using REST/SOAP APIs to streamline data flow between systems and ensure consistency and accuracy.

Process Automation:

  • Design and implement automation solutions (e.g., Process Builder, Flow, and Apex) to streamline and optimize sales processes such as lead management, opportunity tracking, and customer lifecycle.
  • Implement advanced reporting and dashboards that provide real-time insights into sales and marketing performance.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Monitor data quality and integrity within Salesforce, performing data cleansing and optimization as necessary.
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights to improve decision-making and forecast accuracy.

Collaboration & Training:

  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end users, ensuring they are able to leverage Salesforce tools effectively and efficiently.

Ongoing Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide ongoing system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for Salesforce-related issues and enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce best practices, new features, and cybersecurity industry trends to continuously improve the platform.

Education and Experience 

  •  3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud (or related modules).
  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Experience with integrating Salesforce with third-party applications, including marketing automation tools, CMS, and data analytics platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Apex, Lightning components, and other Salesforce development tools- Big Advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Five9 or similar contact center solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce Education Data Architecture (EDA) is highly valued
  • Strong data management abilities
  • Experience working with Jira/Agile methodology
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools like Gearset
