Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician to support our workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone passionate about improving a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance the safety observations program, promoting continuous improvement in safe work practices.
- Assist in developing and delivering job-specific safety training, including procedures, hazard mitigation techniques, PPE use, emergency response preparedness, and more.
- Conduct EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies, identifying areas for improvement.
- Perform and document Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to proactively assess and mitigate workplace risks.
- Aid in incident investigations, compiling reports, analyzing root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained, readily available, and compliant with regulations.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of company EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation, assisting with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Work collaboratively with teams to identify, assess, and mitigate potential workplace hazards, fostering a strong safety culture.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ 1-2 years of experience in EHS, safety, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
✅ Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices preferred.
✅ Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend and support the implementation of effective safety solutions.
✅ Strong communication and coaching skills to promote a safety-first mindset.
✅ Ability to communicate safety concepts clearly and effectively.
✅ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
✅ Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis preferred.
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
