What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager, NPD & Capital Projects position at Thrive Foods?
Location: Hybrid or Remote, depending on location: Texas, Wisconsin, Utah or Tennessee (must reside in one of these states)
A Project Manager is an exceptional leader who drives excellence and change across the manufacturing spectrum. In an atmosphere of rapid growth and innovation, you will play a key role in projects and capital project planning.
Essential Functions Include:
- Manage New Product Development (NPD) pipeline and stage gate process
- Lead execution of NPD projects from kickoff to commercial production
- Facilitate customer kickoff and progress update meetings
- Manage capital projects pipeline and stage gate process
- Prepare capital approval requests
- Lead execution of Capital (facility/equipment) projects from kickoff to operations handover
- Build digitized and automated PMO systems that can scale (project blueprints, automated workflows, etc.)
- Host internal project review meetings
- Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications Include:
- 3 years' experience in pet or human food industry, engineering or business bachelor's degree preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good leadership, organization, and time management skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovative projects to completion in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to build new systems and processes for increased efficiency and per strategic business goals
- Skilled in cross-functional leadership with engineering, R&D, finance, sales/marketing, operations, SI&OP, and C-suite teams
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Experience with Smartsheet’s for project management is a plus
