Job Title: Sanitation Associate (Friday-Tuesday from 11:00pm-7:30am)
Department: Sanitation
Reports to: Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Inspects equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws. They will perform the cleaning of equipment and inspection of all working parts for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws to ensure readiness for production use.
- Responsible to clean work areas in a manner that avoids damage and destruction to our facility.
- Inspect the premises for unsanitary practices and conditions and escalate to management and production personnel regarding sanitation concerns or issues.
- Responsible to adhere to changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting or work practices to improve sanitation standards or purity of the product. In this role, the Sanitation team member will operate lifting equipment for overhead cleaning including IE Boom lift, scissor lift and forklift.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- High school diploma required. This position will be required to perform basic math, reading and writing as well as basic computer skills.
- The position will be required to demonstrate an ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, vendors, and candidates.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and advanced computer literacy is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 50% or more standing.
- The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing warehouse environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 30 lbs. is required.
