Supply Chain Quality Assurance Manager

Job Title: Supply Chain Quality Assurance Manager    
Department: Quality Assurance

Reports to:  VP of Global Quality

Location: Texas, California, Utah, or Wisconsin – Must reside in one of these states

Essential Functions Include:

• Oversees processes to evaluate supplier approval requirements. 
• Sets KPIs and other metrics to ensure suppliers are meeting food safety and quality requirements. 
• Manage systems to identify, report, and resolve supplier quality issues.
• Lead food safety risk analysis for supply ingredients.
• Serve as food safety and quality subject matter expert by providing guidance and technical support to R&D, Operations, and Quality team
• Manage co-packer standards to ensure quality and food safety requirements are met.
• Approve supplier documents to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and quality standards.
• Perform 2^nd Party audits of suppliers and co-packers as needed.
• Help develop strategies to reduce food safety and quality risk.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Include: 

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Food Microbiology, or related technical field
• 5 years’ experience in Quality Management or Food Safety in a food manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with good organizational skills. 
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to up to 60% of the time.

Physical Requirements – Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:

• Consistent and reliable attendance
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. 
• 50% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 40% or more standing. 
• The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment. 
• Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 40 lbs. is required. 

Salary Range: Depending on location and experience: $120K - $140K  

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
