What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Specialist position at Thrive Health LI?
We are seeking a pleasant Front Desk Specialist to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make. The Front Desk Specialist provides front desk assistance and support to patients and clinical staff in the Clinic.
The Ideal candidate will provide the highest-quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without compromising quality. The goal is to make patients and visitors feel comfortable and valued.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Keep the front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary materials (pens, forms, paper, etc.)
- Greet and welcome guests
- Check patients in/out
- Set up patient's appointments
- Answer questions and address complaints
- Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages
- Check, sort, and forward emails
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a front desk representative, agent, or relevant position
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g., fax, printer, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
- Customer service orientation
- Experience with Google Drive
- High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus
