Urgent Need: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) – Temporary
Location: Alpine, CA 91901
Pay Rate: $31/hour
Assignment Length: 4 months (possible extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Travel Required: Must be willing to travel to other nearby facilities as needed

Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- Preferred: 2 years of medical laboratory experience
- Minimum: 6 months CPT experience
- Proficient in medical terminology
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Required:
- California CPT License (Current)
- CPR Certification
- Preferred:
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Language: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required)
- Driver’s License: Valid and clean (travel between facilities may be required)
Job Duties
- Perform venipuncture, heel, and finger sticks
- Operate and maintain POC lab equipment
- Prepare COVID-19 testing kits and perform specimen collection
- Quality control for CLIA-waived testing
- Basic EMR tasks: Order entry, cancellations, result tracking
- Clerical support – reporting, distribution, and documentation
- Maintain cleanliness, supplies, and check temperature logs
- Communicate clearly with patients and staff
- Multi-task, adapt to change, and follow safety/infection control protocols
- Travel to other lab sites if needed
Physical & Working Conditions
- Frequent standing/walking, occasional irregular hours
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs
- Exposure to odors, chemicals, infectious materials
- Use of PPE required (gloves, lab coats, goggles, etc.)
- Will work with lab and office equipment (centrifuge, computers)

- Must pass background check, physical, PPD test, and provide documentation
- Attend orientation, complete required online modules
- Must be accountable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
