Position #1: Apheresis Phlebotomist
Location: Bethesda, MD

Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Apheresis Phlebotomist with a strong background in apheresis techniques and blood collection. This position involves working in a clinical setting with a focus on high-quality patient care and strict adherence to collection protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Properly identify and label specimens.
- Maintain sanitary standards to prevent the transmission of disease.
- Use age-appropriate collection techniques.
- Prepare samples for lab analysis and ensure accurate handling.
- Dispatch specimens to designated testing sites.
- Accurately update patient records.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited training program certified by ASCP, Health and Human Services, or American Medical Certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ overall experience in phlebotomy.
- At least 12 months of apheresis technician experience in the past 24 months or successful completion of an apheresis training program.
- Phlebotomy Skills: Proficient in venipuncture and blood product collection.
- Letters of Recommendation: Two required, written within the last two years—one must be from a supervisor. Include name, title, contact info, date, and signature.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Position #2: Phlebotomy Technician
Location: Bethesda, MD
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday
Position Type: Contract
Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician to assist with specimen collection and mobile blood drives, with a strong focus on patient interaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Properly identify and label specimens.
- Maintain sanitary and safety standards.
- Apply age-appropriate specimen collection techniques.
- Prepare, handle, and dispatch specimens for lab analysis.
- Maintain accurate records in medical and digital systems.
- Assist with setup and teardown of mobile blood drive equipment (up to 40 lbs. lifting required).
- Participate in customer service, orientation, and medical readiness initiatives.
- Serve on committees or task forces as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited training program certified by ASCP, Health and Human Services, or American Medical Certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in phlebotomy.
- Skills: Proficient in computer use, data entry, and electronic medical records.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
