Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : 3 Labs
· Patient Ratios : 3/4 staff members per room
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :
· Type of equipment : Siemens and Philip xray systems, EP Claris Recording System and Stimulator, Carto, Rhythmia and Ensite Mapping System, RF and PFA ablation technology
· Documentation system: EP Claris Nurse Scribe
· Scheduling requirements: 4 10-hour days (0700-1730), No weekends, No Major Holidays, No Call, assigned to stay late for cases that run past 1730 1-2 shifts per week
· Floating policy: No floating
Must have:
Advanced skills needed: Critical care experience and/or cardiac experience preferred
Procedures performed on unit: Pacemaker Implant, Implantable Cardio-defibrillators Implant , Leadless pacemaker implant, SICD implants, BiVentricular Pacemaker/ICD implants, EP Studies, right and left atrial cardiac ablations, VT/PVC ablations, TEE/CVSN, Laser Lead extractions, Left Atrial Appendage Closure implant,
RN License & BLS, ACLS required!
Duties
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapy as required.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in the development of protocols to enhance patient safety and improve outcomes.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of new nursing staff within the lab.
