Job Description:
Level II Trauma center. Must have current BLS and EPIC experience. This is both Pre-Op and Post-op for surgery patients and occasional Pre-Op of GI patients. Scrubs provided.
Minimum:
Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current CPR
Desired:
Certified Peri-Anesthesia nurse (CPAN) and/or Certified Ambulatory Peri-Anesthesia (CAPA)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the perianesthesia unit, ensuring safety and comfort during preoperative and postoperative phases.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering IV medications as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams using EHR systems like Epic to document patient information.
- Maintain CPR and BLS certifications while adhering to hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes and discharge instructions.
