What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irrigation Technician position at Thrive Outdoor Inc?
We are seeking an irrigation technician to install, maintain & repair irrigation equipment that includes sprinklers, water lines, pumps, suction devices, valves & other plumbing equipment. Operate power equipment & hand tools used in irrigation. Check systems for proper operation & timing. Performs seasonal maintenance such as system charging & draining. Maintains inventory of related parts & supplies. May lead workers on irrigation projects & work on other grounds related assignments as needed. Work will be performed at multiple work sites associated within the branch's specific location.
Workdays and hours may vary depending on weather-related conditions. Schedule is a 5-day work week which may include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be available, but not guaranteed. A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is required if the workday exceeds 6 hours, two 10-15 minute paid breaks will be provided during the day as necessary. Pay is weekly.
Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance is available after the employee’s probation period ends.
Employer will provide, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Required uniform provided. Applicants must complete an employment application. A pre-employment criminal background check and drug test are required, the cost is paid by the company.
