Position Overview
The LTRC Team Lead is a pivotal member of the Landlord Tenant Resource Center team, actively leading and working alongside the team to connect people at risk of experiencing homelessness due to eviction or housing instability with essential services and housing options. This role involves directly assisting clients in understanding their rights, accessing available resources, and transitioning to stable housing situations. As a hands-on leader, the Team Lead not only directs the work and training of four or more team members but also engages personally in client services, ensuring a collaborative approach within the team and with external partners to secure safe and suitable housing solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Management: Directly supervise and develop a team focused on eviction prevention and housing navigation, ensuring team members are trained, supported, and evaluated effectively.
- Client Engagement and Support: Work directly with clients to understand their housing needs, assist in navigating available resources, and advocate for them to secure stable housing. Ensure that clients receive comprehensive support throughout their engagement with the program.
- Program Oversight and Compliance: Oversee all program operations to ensure compliance with regulatory and funding requirements. Continuously monitor and refine program strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Data Management and Reporting: Maintain meticulous client records and utilize the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to analyze and report on program outcomes. Work with the LTRC Director to share insights with funders and stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of the LTRC.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and maintain productive partnerships with local agencies, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders. Participate in community forums and meetings to advocate for the needs of clients and align efforts across services.
- Innovative Problem Solving and Advocacy: Develop creative solutions to resolve housing barriers and provide robust advocacy for clients, including negotiation and process navigation.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning and training opportunities to stay informed of industry standards and enhance personal skills.
- Organizational Flexibility and Crisis Response: Adapt to organizational needs during community emergencies, contributing to crisis-response efforts as required, especially during events such as severe winter weather.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Tackle additional responsibilities as needed to support the overarching goals of the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related field- - significant relevant experience in housing services or related social service roles can be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
- Demonstrated leadership in a team-oriented environment, preferably within housing services or a related field.
- Direct experience in client service delivery with a focus on housing instability, eviction prevention, or similar areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a team and engage with clients and partners.
- Knowledge of local housing laws, tenant rights, and resource networks.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in data management systems, including HMIS, to maintain accurate client records and report on service impact.
