Our practice has been an integral part of the San Diego community and has been providing high-quality care and medicine to our clients and pets for the past 20 years. Outside of work, there’s so much to do in San Diego and the surrounding areas. The hospital is in a great location close to beaches and downtown, 15-30 minutes from great mountain hiking, biking, and horseback riding, and driving distance to ski resorts. This is the heart of the Southern California lifestyle: no sport, hobby, or professional/personal interest is out of reach. We want our team to enjoy life outside of work and San Diego is an amazing place to do that.

Pet Emergency and Specialty Center is looking for an Emergency Veterinarian to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
As an Emergency Veterinarian, you’ll have access to an expansive network of on-staff specialists and medical leaders who are there to champion you and your medicine as well as to discuss cases and address concerns. You’ll also work with highly-trained emergency staff and have advanced tools and treatments at your fingertips.

Experience & Skills Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL range starting at $190,000-$220,000 / year. The salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your Skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
