Pay:  Average $12/hr including tips.

Bakesale Treat Parlor is Thrive’s newest concept focused on great desserts, great beverages, and a great atmosphere and guest experiences. We have our own in-house pastry chef that is constantly working to create surprising, yet approachable treats for our guests. We complement this with delicious espresso drinks, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and a handful of thoughtfully curated cocktails. We know that people are seeking out dessert on their best days and their worst, and we’re here to treat people, whatever the reason. 

We are looking for someone to join our team that wants a job they are passionate and proud of. We are specifically looking for someone with evening flexibility and Sunday availability from 11am-6:30pm. Opening shifts start qt 7am and Closing shifts can be here as late as 10pm. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Treat Making:  We mix and bake every day! Cookie doughs, cakes, whipping up custards and creams, etc. is a big part of the job and we’ll teach you everything you need to know!

  • Some Heavy Lifting:  We mix in larger batches than you’ve probably made at home. You’ll need to be able to lift 50lbs and understand that you will be on your feet most of the day. 

• Hospitality:  You’ll assist our guests, educating them on our incredible treats, and crafting espresso beverages, and (if you’re 21) making the occasional cocktail or two. 

  • Barista: How to pull a great espresso shot, steam the milk, and pour a great latte are all part of your training, so previous coffee experience is helpful, but not required.

  • Alcohol:  If you’re 21, you’ll learn about our simply delicious cocktails -  no bar experience required. 

• Store Set-up: All of our crew assists in setting up and cleaning the store.  Building our treat displays, assembling packaging, organizing inventory, and other tasks are all part of the job.

• Clean up:  Our crew members all perform general janitorial duties, such as taking out trash, sanitizing/de-crumbing workspaces, sweeping, mopping, etc.

• Timeliness and consistency are a big deal. We’re a small team and depend on each other to be reliable and work with integrity.  Being here when you’re scheduled, completing your tasks, and leaving the shop/kitchen in great shape for the next shift are all core values and key expectations at Bakesale. 

• We love curious folks that want to learn.  Be comfortable asking questions. The more curious you are about how things happen here, the more successful you will be! 

• Baking is all about the details!  Too much sugar and not enough flour make for a bad cookie….
