What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scholar Health Advocate position at Thrive Scholars?
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive off-campus to a health provider, physician, or emergency treatment location.
- Must have a current Massachusetts license to perform as a RN or LPN.
- 1-2 years minimum experience as a RN or LPN.
- Must be certified in Advanced First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Experience working and desire to work with young adults.
- Experience working with a racially and culturally diverse population
- Community health knowledge.
- Ability to lift/assist Scholars and staff as medically necessary.
- Ability to read and follow directions on medication labels, health forms, physician orders, and parent letters.
- Ability to maintain a written record system.
- Ability to communicate with parents, staff, and administration about Scholar health concerns.
- Experience with CampDoc software, preferred
