The Programs: Summer Academy & Thrive Academy
Our signature summer experience offers intensive college-preparatory courses taught by college instructors. We launched our first two Thrive Academies as commuter programs in Los Angeles and New York City in 2024 while continuing to offer residential Summer Academies for Scholars who are part of our Six-Year Program.
The Students
Our students are high-achieving and identify as underrepresented, including first-generation college-goers, students of color, and those from under-resourced communities, with an average high school GPA of 3.9 on a 4.0 scale. They are eager to learn, inquisitive, and highly motivated to succeed.
The Position: Nurse
We are seeking a team of Nurses to oversee the health and safety of Scholars and Staff at our 2025 Summer Academy. The nursing staff will work together to provide coverage 24 hours/day, via 12 hour on-call shifts, for the duration of the program, in case urgent matters arise.
Responsibilities:
- Provide healthcare to meet individual needs of staff and students.
- Keep regular Health Center hours and be available 'on-call' at all times for emergencies.
- Assist with coordinating trips to off-campus health providers, physicians, or emergency treatment locations.
- Serve as program liaison with any local healthcare providers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive off-campus to a health provider, physician, or emergency treatment locations.
- Must have a current Massachusetts license to perform as a RN or LPN.
