Director of Programs & Partnerships (32 hours)

The Thrive Survivor Support Center (formerly Crisis Center of Central NH) has been serving Merrimack County since 1978. Our mission is to work towards the end of domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County. We do this through advocacy, empowerment, education and collaboration. Services are provided regardless of gender, age, health status, physical mental or emotional ability, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, socio-economic status, race, national origin, immigration status, religious or political affiliation.

Position Objective: The Director of Programs and Partnerships provides oversight and supervision to the Programs and Outreach departments of the agency. The primary roles of this position include supervision of staff (30%), administrative (including fundraising) (30%) and community-based functions (40%). The percentages provided are estimates only and will shift regularly to meet organizational needs. The Director provides backup to the Client Services Manager as needed and will sometimes receive calls/communication outside of normal business hours. Additionally, this role requires regular in person presence at all Thrive office locations to provide visible and accessible support to team members.

Responsibilities: A senior leadership role that provides direct oversight of the Programs and Community Partnerships departments while coordinating with fundraising, finance and administration of the agency.

· Maintain regular office presence to provide in the moment and visible support to team members.

· Models positive relationship building in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and maintains regular, clear and concise communication within all areas of responsibility.

· Work with Client Services Manager to provide backup, in office and online support to all program staff related to resources, debriefing and case consultation.

· Work with Client Services Manager and Leadership team to interview, hire, onboard, and orient client services and community partnership staff.

· Oversee and work with the Client Services Manager and direct service team to ensure effective scheduling of advocates for requested accompaniment, meetings, or other client focused activities.

· Oversee and ensure responsive communication and scheduling of all community partnership activities (education, outreach/awareness events) and partner with Director of Development and Communications for all fundraising event coverage.

· Partner with Client Services Manager to act as backup to staff on the hotline outside of office hours, to assist in difficult or urgent client situations when needed.

· Step in to provide direct support to the Client Services team in absence or in conjunction with the Client Services Manager including taking escalated calls, walk ins and shelter guest conversations.

· Partner with Client Services Manager, Data Coordinator and others to track the quality of advocacy services provided by staff and volunteers to assure it meets the established standards and guidelines of this agency.

· Partner with Leadership team to track the quality of community partnership services (outreach, awareness building, prevention education) and client service provided by staff and volunteers.

· Provide regular trauma informed, survivor focused supervision to Client Services Manager and Community Partnership team members and others as assigned.

· Organize and facilitate department meetings as needed.

· Act as part of senior leadership team within the agency.

·· Act as second in line for any grievances filed by clients and first in line for all community-based grievances of the agency/staff/volunteers. Share all grievances with the Executive Director.

· Work with Thrive team to identify key partners, business leaders and other stakeholders to partner with across Merrimack County and create goals and objectives quarterly related to outreach and engagement.

· Contribute to the development and review of all policies and procedures that support the delivery of programs and services in the agency.

· Support Senior Leadership in creating monthly staff meeting agendas, trainings and other staff activities.

· Work with Data Coordinator to ensure that data is being appropriately collected and used to inform and improve practice.

- Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees.

· Work with teams to set quarterly goals and objectives and help develop workplans to meet

· Participate in all agency signature and fundraising events (2-3/year) and encourage staff to do the same.

· Work with Development Director and Executive Director to actively fundraise for program related needs in the form of grant writing, donor meetings, event planning and execution, and other donor stewardship activities.

· Work with Data Coordinator and others to prepare written reports as required by the agency and/or funding sources.

· Oversee and approve all DV/SA prevention education, trainings, workshops and materials in partnership with leadership prior to publication and execution.

· Assist in the development and distribution of informational and outreach materials as needed.

· Provide program updates to the Executive Director, leadership team, and board of directors through monthly attendance at the board meeting.

· Coordinate and attend leadership, business and other community partnership opportunities, particularly related to our new satellite office in partnership with Senior Leadership team.

· Identify gaps in services related to domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County and in partnership with the Executive Director, work with appropriate agencies towards the resolution of these issues.

· Partner with NHCADSV as appropriate.

· Coordinate and oversee Community Partnership team in identifying and implementing training and support to all community partners who would benefit from Thrive services.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with other service providers in Merrimack County and with other NH Crisis Centers to improve services for survivors.

· Regularly participate in community-based meetings and ensure Community Partnership team as a whole represents Thrive across the footprint at as many critical community tables, work groups, roundtables, etc. as possible.

· Supervise the Community Partnership team directly and ensure work products are in line with all guidelines and procedures of the organization prior to distribution.

· Partner with Director of Development and Communications to communicate messaging related to Community partnership effectively.

Qualifications:

Graduate degree in social work, nonprofit, or related human services field strongly preferred. Experience in the workforce combined with education will also be considered.

At least 3-5 years’ experience in social work, or related human services field required, ideally in high paced environment.

Minimum of 1 – 2 years of supervising staff required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as editing, writing, typing, computer, communications and organizational skills.

Proven ability to work in a trauma informed setting where you can effectively role model for staff/volunteers how to both support survivors and enforce/coach for healthy and appropriate boundaries critically important.

Strong relationship building and understanding of public speaking, working with people in community, donors and business leaders also required.

Other qualifications:

· Passion for serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and/or human trafficking

· Ability to work collaboratively as a team member to support staff/volunteers and others in a trauma informed and positive manner.

· Ability to coach staff once trained to effectively problem solve and make decisions that are in the best interest of the agency and to balance checking with you when they have questions and/or when they will need approval to move forward.

· Solid organizational skills including time management and ability to effectively multi task.

· Solid spoken and written communications skills

· Understanding of service systems within Merrimack County (or desire to learn)

· Strong ability to actively listen, identify needs, creatively problem solve and encourage others to do the same.

· Strong relationship building and maintenance skills

· Have an intermediate understanding of technology in order to provide meetings, communication and supervision both in person and virtual settings.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

· Valid driver's license with regular access to a vehicle and ability to travel locally (within Merrimack County) regularly as part of the position

· Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of participants and staff

· Ability to nurture a culture of emotional support and empowerment within our team.

· Adherence to professional ethics at all times

Salary Range: $58,000 = $62,000
