KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- A Supervisor is responsible for all the same key functions of all subordinates, including but not limited to, that of customer service staff, inventory personnel, and security staff.
- Set the tone for a fun, inclusive, and productive work environment by leading by example.
- Promote open communication, integrity, and teamwork across all levels.
- Coordinate team-building initiatives and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Spend most of your time on the retail floor, ensuring smooth service flow and exceptional customer experiences.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and complaints, swiftly de-escalating situations.
- Oversee and assign daily tasks to ensure efficiency in sales, inventory, and security.
- Ensure the store maintains high standards of aesthetics, organization, merchandising, and cleanliness.
- Drive team performance by setting daily, weekly, and monthly sales objectives in collaboration with management.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.
- Promote upselling and educate customers on products to achieve sales KPIs.
- Uphold all safety, security, and compliance protocols to ensure adherence to State and local regulations.
- Verify that all customer interactions and transactions comply with legal requirements and company SOPs.
- Partner with management to address and document employee policy violations.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, daily tills, and deposits.
- Monitor and ensure accurate POS and inventory management system usage.
- Assist in online order fulfillment and ensure product menus remain updated and accurate.
- Support with inventory counts, incoming deliveries, and maintaining proper stock levels.
- Serve as a bridge between management and team members by relaying updates, team wins, and areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback to management on business opportunities, operational processes, and team development needs.
- Effectively communicate daily operational updates, specials, and objectives to the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED required; further education in retail or cannabis is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years in customer service or retail; 1 year in a leadership role is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable with various software, such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office (including Excel), POS, and inventory tracking platforms.
- Must learn compliance and regulatory demands pertaining to cannabis.
- Proficiency in technology, including POS systems and inventory management tools.
