KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- A Supervisor is responsible for all the same key functions of all subordinates, including but not limited to, that of customer service staff, inventory personnel, and security staff.
- Lead by example, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and efficient work environment.
- Train, coach, and hold inventory personnel accountable for accurate product handling and compliance.
- Actively support team-building initiatives and contribute to the development of a strong company culture.
- Provide “why” communication when proposing, implementing, and enforcing strategies and processes to build team alignment.
- Oversee the receipt, intake, and organization of all product deliveries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with State and company regulations.
- Enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and maintain meticulous records for inventory tracking.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain a well-organized vault, stockroom, and back-of-house area for optimal efficiency and security.
- Ensure all inventory operations comply with state and local cannabis regulations, including proper product naming, testing documentation, and intake processes.
- Promptly report discrepancies, findings, and corrective actions to management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Oversee product waste and destruction in adherence to compliance protocols.
- Monitor and update inventory tracking systems, ensuring accuracy in both point-of-sale and online menus.
- Address and resolve technical inventory issues, liaising with system support when necessary.
- Partner with the sales team to replenish inventory and meet customer demand in real-time.
- Ensure menus, both online and in-store, are accurate and up to date.
- Interact professionally with vendors, managing product deliveries and fostering strong relationships.
- Communicate product feedback, vendor relations insights, and operational needs to management and merchandising teams.
- Stay informed on new and existing products to educate staff and enhance the customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years in customer service or retail; 1 year in a leadership role is strongly preferred. Experience with BioTrack a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required; further education in retail or cannabis is a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems, bookkeeping, and Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, compliance and regulatory demands related to cannabis.
- Passion for cannabis knowledge and education with the ability to communicate product details effectively.
- Strong ability to understand, follow, and enforce policies and procedures accurately.
