Medical Services Practice Coordinator
Location: Reno, NV
The Medical Services Practice Coordinator oversees and directs the daily operations of Thrive Wellness’ primary care and psychiatric teams.
The Medical Services Practice Coordinator is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position, and will be located at Thrive Wellness’ Liberty St. office suite. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or equivalent (Appropriate experience may be substituted for educational requirements)
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a management role
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Effective communication skills, especially with providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous management experience in a primary care setting.
- Certification or licensure as a medical assistant, certified medical assistant, or nurse
Other Requirements:
- Must pass a federal background check at hire and every 3 years. Must adhere to the drug-free workplace act.
- Demonstrate maturity of judgment, attitude, and life skills.
- Must demonstrate an ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
- Must be a strong team player that works well in a busy environment.
- Must have strong communication skills and be upbeat, positive, and professional when interacting with clients, providers and fellow co-workers.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and manage your time unsupervised & independently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, direct, and evaluate the day-to-day functions and workflows of the primary care clinic and the psychiatry team.
- Collaborate regularly with other key stakeholders to ensure that the clinic operates effectively, efficiently, profitably, and safely.
- Directly supervise medical staff, including staff scheduling, performance, interviewing, hiring, and training.
- Maintain the practice budget, including activities related to revenue, expenses, and ordering.
- Assist in tracking key performance indicators of the practice related to provider productivity, profitability, quality, and compliance.
- Attend regular meetings with other company stakeholders.
- Regularly create and share practice reports with other company stakeholders.
- Assist with creating policies and procedures related to clinic operations.
- Participate in activities intended to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and/or payer laws and requirements.
- Address concerns of patients, providers, and staff quickly, professionally, and effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.
