What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Track Coach position at Thrive?
The Track Coach shall be a born-again Christian gifted in athlete development and sportsmanship, who feels called of God to assist the Athletics Department in providing a quality experience to students attending PCS and committed to building a program of attraction for PCS athletes.
Responsibilities
- Help plan, organize, and conduct tryouts for the sport.
- Inform the Director of Athletics and participants of final selections and maintain the integrity of the selection process as well as effectively communicating final cuts, if applicable.
- Coach team during each contest.
- Develop appropriate training programs and coordinate the practice schedule with the Director of Athletics.
- Study the skills and abilities of each student-athlete on the team and puts them in position to be successful and contribute to the team success.
- Learn the names of the students and leaders the coach regularly works with.
- Maintain necessary records and completes required paperwork in a specified time and manner.
- Enforce discipline policies and emphasizes sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles.

6. We believe God created the sacrament of marriage to be the union of one man and one woman and is a reflection of Christ's relationship to his church (Ephesians 5 : 25-27) .
7. We believe that God wonderfully created each person as distinctly male or female. These two distinct, complimentary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1 : 27) .
8. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8 : 9; I Corinthians 12 : 12-13;Galatians 3 : 26-28) .
9. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8 : 13-14; I Corinthians 3 : 16; I Corinthians 6 : 19-20; Ephesians 4 : 30; Ephesians 5 : 18) .
