Thrive is accepting applications for part-time and full-time Employment Specialists in Mason City, Forest City, and surrounding areas. Employment Specialists perform some job coaching duties along with helping consumers build job skills, assisting with resume completion, interview preparation, job searches & applications, and communicating and marketing with community businesses.
The Job Coaching aspect is to help those with disabilities and other employment barriers to learn and perform their job duties to the best of their abilities. A job coach also helps ensure employers have great employees and assists our consumers in their new roles to grow and “Thrive” in their community employment!
If you have excellent communication skills, can work independently, and are passionate and professional about thriving to help others achieve their goals, apply with us! Starting wage is $17-$18 per hour, with the potential for a raise after a 90-day probationary period.

Candidates for this position should have a bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience, preferably in human services, sociology, psychology, education, or a related field. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and complete all professional development standards required by the State of Iowa to be employed in a Community Rehabilitation Provider setting within the required timelines. Reliable transportation is required.
