Job Description:
We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Intern to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. As a member of our clinical team, you will work closely with licensed therapists to provide mental health services to clients. This internship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical setting while working towards your Florida State licensure as a LMHC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist
- Assist with client intake, assessment, and treatment planning
- Participate in individual and group supervision sessions
- Develop and implement treatment plans with the guidance of a licensed therapist
Requirements:
- Pursuing Florida State licensure as a LMHC
- Post-graduate work experience in a counseling setting treating depression and anxiety required
- Ability to work independently conducting intakes and diagnosing according to the DSM under a licensed supervisor
- Full-time availability (30 hours/week – 25 client visits with 5 hours administrative time including supervisory meetings)
- Must reside within 45 minutes of the office location
