Sports Trading Card Expert

Through the Decades is now hiring for a Sports Trading Card Expert! We're looking for someone with strong dynamic energy that is willing to engage with our customers every day in the buying and selling process.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of not only a variety of sports, but also understand the dynamics of the sports trading card world. A strong familiarity with social media is a plus.

The Sports Trading Card Expert role serves as a point of expertise for sports trading cards and collectibles. Primarily working on the sales floor, both behind and in front of the sales counter, the Sports Trading Card Expert works to ensure the store is customer-ready, providing top-notch customer service to every customer, all while providing expertise both internally and externally.

This position is specifically required to have strong knowledge about sports trading cards, with an emphasis on the last 10-20 years and current/upcoming products.

DUTIES

• Be the point of expertise for a category of product, as defined by TTD
• Work with leadership team to ensure success of assigned category
• Be the primary resource for category knowledge, including but not limited to:
• Events
• Buying/Selling of Product
• Customer Education
• Changes to Category Market
• Purchase items, as appropriate, from customers
• Provide excellent customer service
• Stock, organize, and price retail product items
• Pick, sort, and file individual cards per company guidelines
• Organize, run, and/or assist with events
• Maintain store cleanliness
• Provide checkout services to customers
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Read, write, and communicate via English fluently
• Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Routinely carry, lift, push, pull, and manipulate up to 25lbs
• Occasionally carry, lift, push, pull, and manipulate up to 50lbs
• Stand for most/all of an 8-hour shift
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, grasp, stand, walk, lift, or carry in a variety of situations
• Ability to accurately handle cash
• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends

SCHEDULE

• 40 hours per week, rare overtime as needed
• 5-day work weeks
• 8-hour shifts
• Typical working hours are between 10:30a and 11:00p

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
