Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for students, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, including all age groups from infants to Pre K , to foster a love for learning.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Support students in their daily routines, including personal care and behavior management.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual needs.
- Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to support each child's development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood education.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively address various classroom situations.
- Familiarity with preschool education or toddler care is highly desirable
- Ability to be detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with students, parents, and other staff
- A compassionate attitude towards children .
