What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Fulfillment Associate position at Thryfty Detroit?
Monday through Friday starting at 10AM you will work directly with one other person to pick & pack orders to fulfill that come in from our website. It is expected that it will only take around 3-5 hours a day (depending on sales volume) that day. This is not a warehouse job, this is within our creative studio located downtown (free parking) & will is a very laid back, chill job. Ideal for anyone looking for consistent part time mid-day work (students, mothers, etc.) We are an accessory & clothing brand & a small team. You will also work with & report to our operations manager on a daily basis to ensure things are running smoothly. Duties
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using barcode scanners.
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail or fulfillment environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with scanners, printers and other warehouse processes is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed throughout the shift.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
