OVERVIEW:
The Part-Time Seasonal Customer Service Representative possesses exceptional customer service skills, outstanding communication skills, a strong work ethic, and is detail oriented. This person is responsible for responding to our customers through phone, chat and email channels primarily fulfilling order entry and status requests and product recommendation for all product lines. This role reports to the Customer Service Manager and supports all customers and helps drive the Direct to Consumer (DTC) business.

Sales Operations, Inside and Outside Sales, IT, Product Development, Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Finance

RESPONSIBILITIES:
**This is an onsite position located in Seymour, CT**
- Provide outstanding phone, email & chat based customer support for all product lines
- Consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggest equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs
- Entering customer orders that may be received via phone, fax or email
- Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve issues with Direct to Consumer orders
- Respond professionally and in a timely manner to inquiries based on assigned skill set
- Use knowledge of a specific product, service, or other assigned area of expertise to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff
- Multitask between various software systems, problem resolution issues, and customer phone calls
- Perform preliminary analysis on complex cases to ensure the direction required for customer resolution
- Maintain technical knowledge by participating in team meetings & attending product training events
- Educate customers on our brand story, product offers, and promotions
- Capability to work flexible hours as needed, mandatory overtime required during peak season
- Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager
RECOMMENDED POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree preferred
- Must possess a strong desire to learn and be a team player
- Must have strong communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people both within and outside the company
- Experience dealing with heavy phone activity, while maintaining a professional phone demeanor
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Basic knowledge of computer options and administrative applications required
- Well-organized, able to work in a team and independently, ability to multi-task and to prioritize workload requirements
- Experience in customer service providing technical information to customer, warranties and returns a plus
