We have an opening for a part-time Customer Care Representative for Thumb Cellular in Bad Axe, MI. This role serves as a liaison between customers and the company, handling sales, account inquiries, billing, cancellations, and other customer needs. Primarily based in Bad Axe, the position may require coverage in Pigeon, Caro, and Sandusky as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers via the phone as well as in person.
- Assist new and existing customers with account setup, activations and adjustments.
- Responsible for demonstrating product and accessory functionality of devices to customers.
- Assist customers with cellular device inquiries, ESN changes (upgrades), repairs, accessories, lease and demo devices.
- Answer customer questions about their account, including but not limited to, billing concerns, cancellations, usage and disconnections.
- Process customer payments in person and via the phone.
- Document customer interactions and adjustments in customer account records.
- At all times, follow all CPNI and Red Flag regulations.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.
- Other duties as requested or required by management.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel between Thumb Cellular Stores (Caro, Bad Axe, Sandusky, Pigeon) will be required.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time role, scheduled up to 24 hours per week. Shifts will be scheduled as needed Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with some Saturday hours.
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
3. Previous customer service experience desired.
4. Strong written and oral communication skills.
5. Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
