Job Description
The In Room Dining Server will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by taking food and beverage orders over the phone, preparing and serving meals in guest rooms, and providing recommendations on menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking food and beverage orders from guests via phone or in person
- Delivering prepared meals to guest rooms, spa, pool, bars, and other areas of the property as needed
- Providing exceptional customer service by answering questions about menu items, recommending specials, and addressing any concerns guests may have
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including the delivery area and kitchen
- Collaborating with other departments, such as housekeeping and culinary, to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Previous server experience, preferably in a hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds and push carts weighing up to 140 pounds
