The Security Dispatch Officer communicates effectively on the radio, in writing, on the phone, and in the Security Department's tracking software and relays all information to the Shift Manager or Assistant Shift Manager. Responsible for ensuring daily duties, shift schedule, and incoming requests for service are completed in a timely manner. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "Winning Attitude" company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
- Maintain familiarity of all public areas, Team Member service areas, and company grounds.
- Maintain a daily logs of all activities on shift (e.g. Lost & Found logs, Dispatch Logs, etc.)
- Report and take action as directed by Security Management with respect to all suspicious or unusual situations.
- Document all incidents as directed by Security Management.
- Maintain a working knowledge of security incident reports.
- Maintain an extremely high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Practice teamwork, supporting fellow Team Members and creating an energized, positive work atmosphere.
- Listen and accurately document information in the Security Department's tracking software, as well as other formats.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with all driving regulations and laws, while remaining alert and aware of any road hazards.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of services that Security provides to Guests and Team Members.
- Demonstrate and practice working knowledge of company policies, procedures, regulations and all applicable laws.
- Keep Security Dispatch relief and on-coming Shift Management informed of any and all relevant information.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent preferred.
- Previous work experience in security or guest services preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures, including, but not limited to, fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
- Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to remain organized and calm, and perform effectively in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making while remaining professional and courteous.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security 10-codes and phonetic alphabet.
- Previous experience working the security tracking software preferred.
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
- Must have the ability to sit for prolonged periods.
- Must have the ability to subdue person(s), run, climb stairs, sit, stand, or walk for duration of shift.
- Must have the ability to lift and drag an unconscious person during an evacuation.
- Must have acute senses of smell and sound.
- Must be able to communicate using a two-way radio and telephone.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
- Must be able to access all areas of the property which may include prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, climbing, grasping, and reaching.
